I have recently used V Hardwick to undertake a Level 3 Building Survey for a grade II listed property that I am in the process of purchasing. Vanessa was professional throughout - efficient and communicated well during the process. I was able to discuss with her beforehand the potential concerns I had regarding the property, and was offered a follow up consultation after I had had time to read and reflect on her report. The report itself was well put together, easy to understand, extremely thorough and very helpful - identifying issues that I have been able to get resolved prior to purchase. Used Vanessa for a level 3 survey and cannot recommend enough. Vanessa called before going to visit the property to discuss any concerns we had regarding the property and any areas we’d like to focus on. She then went out to do the survey (in the 30 degree heat too!) and called me the next day to let me know how the survey went and reassured us that the property was safe. We received photographs of which were taken of the property, very thorough, using various different equipment to get to the high reach areas. Within the turn around time she promised we received the full survey, which was very clear, understanding and thorough. Vanessa is extremely approachable and nothing is too much trouble for her. She explained everything very well, and even recommended ways to solve any problems which were identified. Not overly expensive, but well worth the money! Highly recommend and I will definitely use her again in the future if needed.

After our initial enquiry, Vanessa came straight back with a good value quote and helpful advice on which type of survey would be the most appropriate. This made our decision very easy. Vanessa then liaised with the estate agent and undertook the survey promptly, providing us with initial feedback (for peace of mind) in advance of the formal report. The final report was then prepared promptly, thoroughly and to a very high standard. I particularly liked how key issues were highlighted for our solicitor to investigate further. I received a very kind and prompt call from Vanessa introducing herself and from first impressions, I could gather Vanessa is very professional, thorough and more comprehensive than many surveyors I was in touch with. After the survey was completed Vanessa called me to go over a few things that stood out. I was genuinely impressed with the level of knowledge and the in depth analysis of each point. The written report was sent over promptly via email along with all the pictures that were taken. The report was thoroughly written and again comprehensive in the analysis of the property. The pictures accurately backed up what vanessa was explaining and again a courtesy call shortly followed to run through points and ensure we were happy.
